Turning Thirty

Sometime this year I am transitioning over the big THREE OH and I have a few more months left of being in my twenties.

What do I feel?

I really cannot put words into what I feel over turning thirty. It’s a mixture of feelings.

I definitely do not feel old.

I enjoyed this decade of my life. There are so many milestones that happened within this decade that became the foundation of my life.

I found love and got married. I started a career. I have great friends. I travelled a lot with my other half. I have adorable dogs.

So what’s next?

First of all, I will try to be a better Christian. I’ve been lacking faith during my late twenties.

Change bad habits such as over eating, not exercising, not getting enough sleep, and start an end of day hygiene routine.

Stop being passive aggressive.

I would like to start a hobby ‘career’ which includes floral design and probably event designing.

We would probably start thinking about having children.

Materially speaking, one of the main goals I would chase will be to buy our own home.

I notice that there’s a lot to do, this now made me think if my twenties was too much enjoyed and left over more important things.

Well, as long as I am still alive, I still have hope to change all this and start again.

Hi Pal, your 30’s is when you start setting goals, and how you’re going to reach those goals. It’s definitely a place in your life when you start reflecting on what you really want to accomplish, and start making more mature decisions. At least, that’s how I experienced my 30’s. But don’t worry, you’ll still be young, and will get there.
